Every descender, harness, rope and connector with its serial number and its own inspection clock.
Kit › Add item. Name it as it is written on the label ("Petzl Avao Bod harness"), pick the category, type the serial number and the make and model. The inspection interval defaults to six months, the LOLER rule for lifting equipment used for people; change it for items with a different regime.
A thorough examination is recorded against a specific item. When a supervisor or a client asks for your records, the serial number is what they check against the kit on the rope.
The Kit tab shows every item with In date, Due soon or Overdue, and a count of each at the top. Tap an item for its history.
An item with LOLER history warns you before it is deleted, so a record is never lost by a slip. Buying new kit? Add it the day it arrives, with the purchase date, and log its first examination so the clock starts from a known date.
