Pay in rope access is quoted as a day rate, and it varies a lot by sector and region. Here is a grounded picture rather than a headline number.
For general rope access, a new L1 often sits in the region of £150–£220 a day. Cleaning and window work tends to sit a little lower; inspection, NDT and wind pay more; offshore and oil & gas are higher again but usually want experience and extra tickets.
Region (London and the South East, and offshore hubs like Aberdeen, pay more), contract length, night and height allowances, extra trade skills, and simply how reliable you are. Reputation compounds faster than a level does.
