Keeping inspection records audit-ready

How to never get caught short when someone asks.

Sooner or later a client, principal contractor or auditor asks to see your records. Being able to show them in seconds is the difference between a smooth start and a delayed one.

What they usually want

Proof that your kit is in date: the six-monthly thorough examination records, current certificates, and the gear's inspection history, each tied to a specific serial number.

Keep it retrievable

Attach the certificate (photo or PDF) to each item, keep records dated, and hold on to them for the retention period your work calls for. Paper in a drawer doesn't help when you're standing on site.

With Cowstail the whole register lives on your phone, so when someone asks you can show in-date kit and certificates on the spot.
